How do you make business owners believe that a free offer is real? For Save on Energy, the brand for Ontario’s energy efficiency programs, delivered by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), we needed to make no-cost lighting and non-lighting upgrades from its Small Business Program feel credible and trustworthy. The challenge was to convince entrepreneurs that this offer wasn’t too good to be true.

We created testimonial videos featuring diverse small business owners across Ontario sharing their positive experiences. A digital-first media strategy targeted audience segments by job title, ensuring our message reached the right people.

By putting real business owners front and centre, this award-winning campaign drove over 52,000 views on YouTube in just five months, kept costs per click low, and delivered a high clickthrough rate.
