Awards, Accolades and Trips to the Podium

A quick digression – in our first few years, we didn’t enter awards shows. Awards have never been our main goal, and still aren’t.

But, we’ve changed our minds. We’ve heard that potential clients pay attention to awards. Sometimes awards generate press. We have a blank wall to fill. And in any case, a little ego-stroking puts a smile on our faces.

So, without much fuss, we started entering appropriate design and marketing awards shows. Here’s how we’ve done so far.

  • Archives of Ontario “Dear Sadie: Love lives and Remembrance” won the Award of Excellence in Exhibitions at the Ontario Museum Association 2015
  • Hydro One “Joule” won Gold in the Consumer Direct Marketing category at the Summit International Awards 2015
  • Toronto Hydro “Outage Centre” campaign won a Bronze at the Summit International Awards 2015
  • Toronto Hydro Energy Experts campaign won the Award for Marketing & Communications – Non-residential, AESP 2015.
  • Toronto Hydro “Heating & Cooling Incentive” campaign was a Finalist at the Redgee Awards 2014
  • Hydro One “Meet Joule” won Gold in the Consumer Product/Service category at the Summit International Awards 2014
  • Archives of Ontario “Dear Sadie: Love lives and Remembrance” won Silver in Trade Show/Display at the Summit International Awards 2014
  • Archives of Ontario “Dear Sadie: Love lives and Remembrance” won Bronze for Art Direction/Graphic Design at the Summit International Awards 2014
  • Archives Ontario “Dear Sadie: Love lives and Remembrance” was a Finalist at the Redgee Awards 2014
  • Canada Post “Haunted Canada” was a Finalist at the Redgee Awards 2014
  • Ontario Science Centre “Human Edge” exhibit was a Finalist at the Redgee Awards 2014
  • ideaCity “2014 Program” won Best in Category, Miscellaneous at the Redgee Awards 2014
  • ideaCity “2014 Program” won Silver for Specialty Item at the Summit International Awards 2014
  • Hydro One Fridgestock campaign won a Platinum Award at the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards 2014.
  • Hydro One Fridgestock campaign, 1st place for Best Digital Ad in E-Source Utility Awards, 2014.
  • Toronto Hydro® Energy Experts CDM campaign, winner of AESP’s Energy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Non-Residential Marketing, 2014.
  • Toronto Hydro® Energy Experts CDM campaign won a Silver Award at the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards 2014.
  • Toronto Hydro® Urban Animals CDM campaign won a Platinum Award at the Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards 2013.
  • Toronto Hydro® Peaksaver PLUS campaign won Bronze in the 2013 Chartwell Best Practices Award for Marketing.
  • Ontario Trails Maps Web site won an Ontario Economic Development Award, Tourism Category, for Best use of Interactive Database 2010.
  • Trailhead Ontario conference won an Ontario Economic Development Award for Community Branding 2010.
  • Ministry of Environment Annual Report on Climate Change was a Judge’s Pick in the RGD Design at Work Exhibition 2010
  • Archives of Ontario Educational Programming was featured in RGD Design at Work Exhibition 2010
  • Toronto Hydro® Peaksaver Campaign – Energy Conservation Program wins a 2010 NAMMU Award for effective direct marketing based on creative and campaign results
